keith jardine.

  1. i've always liked the guy. i like the way he fights and i think its a shame he's no longer at the ufc.
i believe he still is a bit of a draw as far as fight fans go.

i've just finished watching his fight against mark hamill, there seems to be a few old fights being shown here on cable tv.

first time i've seen it and obviously as a fan of his i think jardine just won.
i don't agree with him having a point taken away because of a poke in the eye.
how can someone be penalized for something unintentional? it simply doesn't make sense.
i've seen many fighters accidently poke an opponent in the eye and not get a point taken away.

personally i've always thought that hamill gets slightly preferential treatment because he has a disability. i know others will disagree but thats my opinion.

anyway, i know jardine was on a losing streak, but i think its a pity dana dropped him after the hamill fights as it was such a close decision, and was a very exciting and bloody bout.
i'm saying that its not as if jardine was overwhelmed by hamill and it was all one-sided.

so how do people here view keith jardine? inconsistent?
lucky he got some big scalps?

Yeah id say Jardine is an inconsistent fighter. The guy has some strengths and some clear weaknesses so whenever he fights you kinda have no clue whats going to go down is he going to be able to use his strong leg kicks, heavy hands and sheer akwardness to take out his opponet or will his weak chin and terrible defense be exposed ?

He used the Jedi mind trick on the ref. just kidding.
Im glad he's not in the UFC anymore. The guys faced a murderers row of lhw and won a fair share. But each time he got ko'd I got progressively more worried for his long term heallth.
But the guys a warrior and hopefully he can carve a decent winning streak outside the UFC. Just dont think his chin is durable enough and he hasnt got the defense or reflexes to make up for it

I think he was the most boring MMA fighter I've ever seen. Can't stand watching him fight. Hope he never gets back into the UFC.
