The Hopkins loss was a tough one but Pavlik still has a great future ahead. he just happened to get bamboozled by one of the shrewdest men ion sport. He'll handle Rubio easily and get more huge fights.:smoke:smoke

 That might be true but it's died down a bit. Although Im not surprised. Pavlik is coming off a loss. Fans will back down a bit and haters... well, there aren't a lot of haters. There's just not much to hate about the guy.

Pavlik is the best fighter at 160. I think a fight between him and AA would be awesome- Id take Pavlik by KO. To call Pavlik a bum is absurd, he gave Taylor his only 2 losses and completely dismantled Miranda(who many thought would beat Pavlik).

hopefully the hopkins loss helps rather than hurts KP
I always thought of him as a bit orthodox and possibly predictible to defensive fighters and experienced ring tacticians.
if pavlik can evolve and adjust I would like to see him take on kessler in the future

Rubio ain't that kind of guy. He's not gonna take 3 knees in 3 rounds either!

He beat Zertuche and Ornales, so he is actually a decent mandatory.

**** my man, at all the press confrences all Miranda talked about was how bad he was gonna kick Taylor's ass. It was like Pavlik wasn't even there, or just a novelty to set up Taylor/Miranda. Then on fight night HBO shows a 15 minute documentary on the long road Miranda had travelled to get there, and then was like : "Oh yeah, and here's Kelly Pavlik" as he jogged into the ring.

Could be a good year for Pavlik. After he knocks out Rubio, he should get the chance to grab another belt and properly assert himself as the no.1 in the middleweight division by beating the no.1 contender Arthur Abraham. Would be a great fight.

And if that news about B-Hop helping him is true, he could potentially be even better.

Yes, that was such a lucky 15 punches he landed on Jermain Taylor to finish him off. How lucky do you have to get to land a vicious jab, followed by a huge one two combination, and then pummelling straight rights and lefts and uppercuts. Lucky ******* that Pavlik.

He got so lucky against Edison Miranda and Zertuche too. The lucky ****.
Remember how Miranda got punched in the face close to a dozen times, and the ref stopped the fight. What horse****.

    Pavlik, you suck.

I'll have to do some home work. Don't really know **** about Rubio, I just expect a highly energized Pavlik coming to show redemption. Good luck to Rubio.
