Olympic Gold. Super bantam champion. Great fights with Welcome Ncita, MAB, and Vuyani Bungu. His ko of Junior Jones was awesome. What do you guys think of McKinney? I have to wonder how much better he could have been without the drugs.

I love watching him; he was just slow enough and took enough punches to make most fights interesting. I don't know if the drugs played that much of a part in his demise, such as it was. His style would have been the same regardless, and I don't know that you could look at any one of his efforts and say "Oh yeah, were it not for drugs, he'd have had that one."

I would also add that he had an outstanding jab, though he was slow-fisted. It was heavy, and he knew how to work things off it. It was a huge part of his arsenal, he really used it as a weapon. Not just a flicking thing used to set up other punches.

He had a huge heart. I really enjoyed his fights.
