I didn't say he was gonna spar with them. You ask for good Middleweights that have come from LA.

I know a perfect Sparring partner for Kessler in LA. Supermiddleweight prospect Shawn Estrada. He's pretty fast and pretty skilled enough to mimmick Ward. Sparring with Kessler would also benefit him since he's still green despite coming from the Olympics.

Okay now we're getting somewhere. I'm well aware of the fighters in the L.A. area. On the contrary, you are not as familiar with the fighters in Northern Cali I noticed. For one, the bay area is not a city, and Sacramento (a city) is as much an MMA city as any in the bay area (maybe not San Jose). Either way, both areas have their fair share of competive boxers, as well as a history of them.

Kessler has used Andrade before as a sparring partner in 2005 before the fight against Mundine. Kessler's said his career will end after the super six so it makes perfect sence to use Andrade as a sparring partner coz its very unlikely they will fight each other again.

Seriously, given all the post-boxing frustrations of Calzaghe and his so-called friendship with Kessler, Mikkel should ask Jazzy Joe to spar a little, that's probably the best sparring you can get.

That's a splendid idea!!!!:good Can someone please pass it on to the Sauerland camp. I imagine Joe will say "Yes!" if asked. Why not?....and it would nice to see JC involved, just a little, in the Super Six as he was the guy to hand over the glove, so to speak.

Will never happen. Kessler believes he will beat Calzaghe in a rematch and it would be his no. 1 fight if Calzaghe didnt retire. Calzaghe knows this and has said that he does not want to fight Kessler because he cannot perform better and Kessler will have learned a lot from their first fight. On a sidenote this is the only time I have heard Calzaghe give such an honest reason for not having a rematch - for Hopkins he said that he would beat Hopkins easier in a rematch.

Anyway - although they do respect and even like eachother - a sparring session would be impossible imo. and not good for Kessler. He would probably see it as almost more important to 'show' Joe a thing or two, than even thinking about Ward. And Ward is far too difficult an opponent for the whole Calzaghe issue to come up now. Kessler needs to focus and not be involved in a lot of Calzaghe stuff now.

Andrade is training in Montreal and fighting in Quebec city in one month. It wouldn't be reasonable for him to suffer a double jet lag before a championship bout. Anyway, Kessler's main preparation is almost over. His fight is in 3 weeks. He needs one more sparring week maybe. He just fought Perdomo and returned shortly after to training camp so he must be in good shape already.

    Andrade?

Andrade is as different from Ward as almost possible. This would probably be the worst possible preparation for Kessler.

That's the best response yet. The reason the idea even entered my head to start this thread in the first place is because I happen to KNOW that Kessler is looking for sparring in the Sacramento area. For some reason, the Euros are reacting funny as if I feel I can solve Kessler's issues. Kessler's screwed. Nobody can help his ass at this point. If he has such a great and experienced team put together, why are his people calling around the SACRAMENTO (not the mecca of boxing) area for sparring?

Anthony Mundine would be a great sparring partner for Kessler

Kessler has sparred Andrade before. He sparred him and Ornelas in LA. McCullough actually claimed that Andrade and Ornelas handled him in sparring, but for some reason it didn't turn out like that in the real fight ! :p
