No one deserves a shot at the Taylor v. Lacy winner more than Mikkel. Franky, I cannot see what other options the Taylor v. Lacy winner has than to face one of the beltholders at 168 lbs next. He'll go for Kessler because he is the best and the best known too. Kessler should be seen as the clear favourite against either Taylor or Lacy and a win against whoever wins should put Kessler in the picture in America.

• You'll have Dawson - but he won't want to get anywhere close to someone like Kessler anytime soon,
• Hopkins, who might be more interested in Dawson than in Kessler, though, if the doesn't retire against RJJ, say,
• RJJ, who could possibly be tempted to take another big money fight against Kessler...and that's about it,

But I agree. Kessler should not look at money and should gun for a big American name. That's the key to big money medium-long term for him.

maybe people will stop saying kessler wants to stay in europe,fighting in he´s own backyard.
Kessler is one of the fighters that are ready to travel anywhere,to fight the BEST!
He´s biggest wish is to get a fight on HBO,so the US fightfans,can see for themself that he is ready and willing to face ANY opponent,anywhere.
i personly hope he gets the winner of lacy-taylor.
i think he deserve a fight at that level now...in 2 years kessler is a well known fighter in the US.

Yeah, but Kessler should definitely chase the American, rather than Froch/Pascal. It's a no brainer. It's the better fight, it's what all of us want and it will help Kessler get better fights in future, which, again, we all want, because it's for the best of the sport.

 

Kessler Taylor for the WBA title is an obvious match.

Mikkel should get his arse to the US and plonk himself ringside with his belt and start hyping the fight.

I think a fight with Taylor is the one that's realistic for Kessler. He might fight Winky if Winky dares...
