There's that uppercut you were talking about dbouziane.

But this is 2 punches, that doesn't prove anything.

Fighters still throw shots with injured hand, doesn't mean his hands are fine, if that' your point.

Ok , heres an observation about HBOs coverage of Calzaghe vs Kessler, in between rounds 1 and 2, Jim Lampley said "For the moment they're speaking English in Kesslers corner, we hadn't anticipated that. We do have a Danish interpreter."

LOL that was Enzo Calzaghe talking to Joe, they just forgot to switch microphones.

  6. joe beat kessler , get over it!!!

    and

ward will do the same , and prob ko/tko him

    talking of fragile/broken hands.
You are aware that calzaghe fought most of his career with exremely bad hands..hence his knockout ratio started to slide.

injurie or no injurie....fact is that Calzaghe took Kessler out of his comfort-zone and fought at a much higher pace that Kessler clearly was uncomfortable with. Kessler was too unexperienced at this level of boxing I felt after watching the fight.

If Kessler had not missed 3 weeks of sparring, then its possible that he could have performed a little better...he did look like he had problems with stamina and he did not throw alot of punches throughout the middle rounds. But to win against Calzaghe you need to KO him and that aint so easy, at that time at least :D

I wasn't able to watch this fight when it happened. I watched some of it earlier today on utube - trying to get a feel for the Kessler-Ward fight. To me it seems like Calzaghe just had among other impressive boxing qualities, an unstoppable will and a serious chin. I don't know where he ranks all time but I feel like he was on a very high level.

This is true, Kessler, is very good, but Joe is just better.

    1. This fight was 3 years ago. Kessler was reduced to a desperation punch throwing amateur after he was felt out and clearly lost to an overrated fighter in Calzaghe.

    2. Kessler has fought and beaten 3 bums since then...voluntarily or involuntarily, it doesn't matter....he has effectively pissed away his prime.

    3. Kessler was a standard, B level boxer at his best...and there's no way he can be at his best against Ward.....3 years.

    4. Kessler is gonna have to knock Ward out to win....but Ward's Pedigree and Boxing IQ won't allow that to happen...Ward is going to "school" Kessler.

    5. "Above Average" Joe Calzaghe's bull**** legacy, and all of his superfans will be in shambles.

    6. I WILL be torturing said superfans across The Online Boxing Community.

    7. I rest....The End.

I think Ward ,will most likely win, mainly b/c the fight is in Oakland. The one that is unproven here though, is not Kessler. The best fighter Andre has fought is Miranda.
