Whats the general opinion on Kevin Mitchell amongt the International Boxing fans. He did a boxing masterclas on Precott, who some believe would still give Khan trouble ( I'm not one of them) and was involved in a good domestoc tear up with John Murray recently.

He is possibly considering a rematch with Katsidis to avenge the only defeat of his career and there has even been talk of a fight against Rios, which is a little optimistic I feel but still think Kevin is a good fighter and deserves a shot

Khan got taken out big time against Prescott! Alot worse than Mitchell did against Katsidas so I dont see why he cant win a world title and follow in his foot steps. He has the skill and power to do well but he needs to keep his head in the rite place!

He looked good against Murray even if Murray was Tailor made for him. He made a lot of mistakes in the Murray fight that he got away with, i think if he makes them against Rios then he will be punished.

I think he deserves a title shot, why not? also think he can win a world title but maybe take it step by step rather than jump in at the deep end and suffer another loss.

    I've always liked Mitchell's style.

But if you put him in with someone like Rios, he'd get dealt with pretty badly. Some people say he's not ready for someone like that, but if he's not ready now, when will he?

Good little fighter, but I don't think he'll ever become a dominant force on the world stage.

I think he can put up a nice fight against a title holder and may have a chance of winning, but NOT against Rios or JMM.
Those guys would punish him and it would be Katsidis all over again.

I'm American but I've always been something of a fan of Mitchells. I like his style and I think he beats Katsidis in a rematch. I think Miguel Vasquez would be another interesting fight to gauge where he stands internationally.

Good, solid fighter. Lacks any real standout attributes (ala Khan with his speed). I think he can win a world title, but he wouldn't keep it for long. Get's blown out again by Rios or JMM, but most likely outpoints Katsidis in a rematch.

Think he'll outpoint Katsidis as well, has good ability but simply isnt active enough, good win over John Murray though. I'm glad that most of the International outlook is positive for Mitchell. Boxrec have him listed as number 4?? Think a fight with Lundy could be interesting...

Yep, i do...I take it you dont agree?I think he will outbox Kats and take a UD or perhaps even a late stoppage.

So what do you all think Mitchell Kats 2, who take this?

The loss over Katsidis made me wonder, the wins over Prescott and John Murray gave me hope in him. If he avenges the Micheal Katsidis loss I will gladly rate him in the top 5. He is young and I think he has future potential.
