when the khan - lawton fight was announced for october 6th, i just assumed that khan would not be fasting during ramadan this year.

however, according to FWs site he has been, which basically means he can't eat or drink between sunrise and sunset (which started at around 5:00am to 7:30pm but has been getting gradually shorter).

if this is true, how do you think it will affect khan's performance?

according to the article he won't be fasting on the day of the weigh-in and the fight itself, but his training routine must have been severely disrupted.

Danny Williams managed to fast without any real disruption to his performances- he was still out of shape, lethargic and disinterested. :)

I don't think it will adversely affect Khan's performance - he may be even more focused and shouldn't have any problems making the weight!

Agree. If Khan doesn't win convincingly or he hits the canvas again
his reputation could be in serious trouble.

Limond is a part time fighter, he works as a joiner with glasgow council during the day and if Khan struggled with him I dont think he should be doing anything to remotely affect his conditioning.

Limond had only racked up 2 fights since Khan had turned Pro until the night they met....I fear for Amir's well being once he eventually fights a decent opponent (if ever that is)

Lawtons a good fighter, he gave Thaxton a few problems in their British title bout. Im sure with his jab and experience he'll give Khan some things to think about.
As for Limmond being ''part time'' , to be fair many / most boxers have jobs alongside their day jobs, although there arent many fighters as inexperienced as Khan fighting the calibre of fighter he is. Chavez jr for example, Isnt he up to something like 30 odd fights now?
Khan trains at around 10am - 11:30 / 12:00, Sure he can eat around this time etc...
