Because he is banking on a bigger fight in the US, that's why. That is disappointing for us fans, but probably a rational decision for him. He has said himself that '...the Brook fight will always be there for me' so he focuses his efforts on getting Pac or May. If he fights Algieri, it is a keep busy fight for him. All this talk about 'ducking' is pony, facile nonsense for folk who are not thinking it through.
What do people reckon would have happened if Khan had took the belt off Devon as he should of done in first place which would of left brook mando for the belt, you reckon Khan would of ducked and dodged and throw the belt in the trash can rather than face his mando in brook?
My problem with Khan is that he's not NEARLY as good as he thinks he is, or as big a draw as he thinks he is.
There is no bigger fight in the US or anywhere else right now for Khan. Whoever he fights next if not Brook is a lesser fight for lesser money and no title. Where is the sense in that only that its a duck as he sees the risk high money + title is not worth it...??? Even if Brook might be there down the line (assuming he doesn't get beat) Brooks stock could also go right up and he get Pac or Void after their possible 2nd fight is over.
No Algeiri is another cherry pick against a non punching 140 fighter. Come on dude, ever since the garcia defeat it's one Light puncher after another. He is ducking Brook no doubt.
