If the fight didn't get stopped by the cut to Barrera's head would this have turned out like Julio Cesar Chavez v Meldrick Taylor?

Sorry I should have rephrased that. If Barrera wasn't bothered by the cut.

    No.

Barrera would have been stopped in about the 8th/9th.

Probably not. Should have been a NC, prime Barrera beats Khan with his left hand tied behind his back, blindfolded.

Truth is Khan was still at 135 in that fight where he was probably weakened from making weight and also he was still green under Roach and haden't improved much.

Barrera was starting to tag him more and more and is a 12 round fighter while with Khan you used to get taht feeling that as the fight would go on he would be more vulnerable.

The ref conveniently waited for the 4th round to finish and then stopped it in the 5th. A disgrace to boxing and a win that should be stricken from Khan's record.

that cut was no worse in the 5th than it was when it happened.

Forget prime, Barrera from 130lbs moves up 5lbs and defeats Khan.
