Which fight is the best/worst of the bunch? Any at 135lbs, now that is body is growing into 140lbs it would be a daft decision. As far as I see it once you've moved up there ain't no way back. They will have already been modifying his body and weight lifting with the limit of 140lbs in mind.

Which fight would tell us the most about Khan? Urango or Maidana, punchers.

Which fight would get him the most exposure? Marquez is the biggest name without a doubt. Out of the others I think they are pretty similar in terms of recognition and fanfare.

 

It wouldn't be a wise move to go back. I was one of the people that honestly didn't see weight as a big excuse for his issues, but they've openly talked about how they've changed their training for 140lbs. It would be even harder getting down now.

I wouldn't like to say Maidana has shakey whiskers...Ortiz was a brutal puncher coming into that fight. He was stopping durable fighters with ease. Mike Arnaotis did 12 rounds with Kendall Holt and Ricardo Torres and was whacked inside a couple of rounds by Ortiz. Maidana took a few square on the jaw from that guy.

the best fight for Khan after salita is a unification with Alexander who is an average strap holder imo

I've always said that someone who circles and establishes the jab will beat maidana comfortabily on the cards, Khan vs Maidana would be good as i think khan has a great chance of beating him and as Losfer said it would silence a lot of critics, but its just not risk/reward worthy at this stage so they won't take it.

Marquez I think in a couple of more fights will be slipping and ripe.

stay away from Lamont and Bradley for now, the rest of those guys at 140 i would put Khan in with.

 

The problem Khan has is none of the guys at 140 are great reward for the risk. That's just the kind of division it is, Hatton was the only star. Infact, Hatton is the only fight that makes sense on a risk/reward level.

Holt, Bradley, Peterson, Alexander are all decent fighters, not extraordinary but very decent, and none are superstars that will make for a mega-fight.

Hatton or Malignaggi are best on a risk/reward level. The former has big doubts over him (though I still think his demise has been overplayed, and he'd be a live threat), but offers a huge potential payday. Malignaggi not so much, but he's not a risk of hurting you.

 

the thing is huge mega paydays don't come over night, its a gradual building process, chasing the money is what got them into trouble in the first place.

140 is a stacked diviision imo. particularly compared to others, ok so there ain't that stand out moneyspinner but that takes time and theres still a lot of good match ups. I think the priority for Khan should be defences, he should camp out at 140 and rain them in (while treading carefully) bit like Bernard at middle. Then a couple of years down the line someone like a Bradley or lamont are big stars and then you go paper chasing.

 

i have a question about maidanas power i think he'd ko khan in a similar fashion to the presscot but on a higher tier level i think his power is exaggerated he was standing in front of kotelnik landing ''bombs'' all night and he still wasnt able to take him out a urango or equivalent has better power

 

Khan will stay at 140 now for definetly a cant see him dropping back down to 135 TBH.

After this fight i would like him to chase the fight with Hatton.... If not Warren will put him in with a fighter who doest hit hard e.g Malignaggi.

I think anybody who his pretty much a banger in the division Warren wont want him to go near, I think he could outbox Maidana if he stayed away and boxed like he did against Kotelnik.

Urango, Bradley beat him, if he does decide to go to 135 which i think he deffinetly wont, Stay well out the way of Valero.

 

If Khan would be willing to step up and fight at 147,do you honestly believe that he would "dance rings around Cotto"?Based on what exactly?What,his scintillating victory over past it former bantam 36 year old Barrera or someone like Koletnik?That is a pay per view that I would pay a 50 for as Khan gets beaten up.
