At the start of the first round Khan initiates a glove tap with Maidana , but instead Maidana did a jumping left hook , barely missing . Now if Maidana landed and knocked Khan out would you posters consider that a suckerpunch ?

Strong 1st post. Why would he want to touch gloves 10 seconds after touching gloves?

    No.

    Opening bell.

There's no confusion about what's going on.

That is the difference between Khan and Ortiz. Khan is double quick. And taller, more skilled, more handpseed, isnt a quitter.

Khan said he knew that Maidana would rush him early on so I just thought he did that to start the fight to slow the tempo a bit. Maidana was not amused lol.

Anyone remember Zab Judah throwing a hard thigh punch before the opening round when Baldomir went to touch gloves with him? Dont know why I just thought of that.

    No question.

    Ortiz is a paper-chinned, paper-hearted quitter.

Still doesn't change the fact that Floyd's a shameless piece of ****.

No sucker punch there, just a real fighter. My guess is that most boxers of the golden era would have done the same. Maidana is kind of a throwback in that he isn't in there to make a friend, he wants the Knockout. I believe in sportsmanship and don't like dirty fouls at all, (sport's dangerous enough) but some of these guys want to touch gloves too often.

The Judah-Baldomir thing was during the pre-fight instructions.

Yeah I fixed that. Now THAT was a cheap shot, and not a legal punch.

Exactly, that was worse than what Floyd did imo, though I think both were unsportsmanlike.
