Come on, the British title is not a step backwards. It's a step up.

I didn't say Thaxton and Murray have been facing top fighters but I also didn't say that Khan is on another level!

It may be a backword step in your eyes but can you please explain how fighting an inactive featherweight is a step forward ?

The British title is a step up from the Commonwealth.

The Commonwealth could be described as a *******ised version of the inter-alphabetty title. Basically any chump from the Commonwealth countries, as opposed to any chump from anywhere.

He can't, Eubank is a trolling twat who mainly gets ignored. I see he's now resortedto starting stupid threads to get the attention he craves.

Hey a true Boltonian would take offence to that:good

Seriously though the only fans Khan has here in Bolton are Asians (understandable) aned guys who dont know boxing.

Ive done security at many of his "fights" and there doesnt seem to be many true boxing fans.

Although that might just be me as im not a fan of his.

I wouldn't say Frank has done a fantastic job with this one. He's done an okay job, he's minimised risk while getting Khan some experience of a few different styles, but nows the time to kick on (which means facing a guy that can break his way out of a soggy bag) - and it doesn't seem to be happening.

thaxton and murray have both been in with genuine lightweights. no one world class but certainly proven domestic fighters.

i'm sorry, but you cannot claim to be the best in britain until you have beaten 2 or 3 of the top lightweights in the country or at least beaten international opponents of unreputedly higher standing.

for me if khan fights thaxton or a decent punching guy and wins then i will be convinced he is the real deal, but lets face it he has been dropped by nobodys and thats worrying.

i would like to see the thaxton fight come of but i have a feeling he will be too young, too fast and too busy for thaxton.
thaxton is a good puncher so you never know!!!!!

I don't like chipping in on Khan in any conversation/net discussion etc.. because you invariably end up being labeled a hater or a nut hugger.
However, let's be realistic, Khan has skills but he hasn't been tested properly. I realise people are getting stirred up about him and it's understandable. But all this shite about him being world class etc.. etc... He may be #8 with Ring but he has fought **** all. I don't doubt his potential but I have seen **** all from him.
To go via the comparison route as an Irish boxing fan. Oisin ***an (who only started boxing pro at 30) has been in with better (on paper than Khan). ***an lost a SD with Spadafora (former LW IBF world champion). ***an is a good honest fighter (I remember being there when he fought Jeff Thomas) but he is very limited. Yet look on his record and he has a SD loss against a guy light years ahead of anyone Khan has fought.
My point, and I guess the point of everyone who is not convinced, is that you can have potential, promise, a good record on paper, a good rating. But **** sake, if you are going to lip off, put your money where your mouth is.

Im not far from bolton and was on the Khan banwagon , but its getting a bit of a **** take now , im losing intrest with this kid now, im not sure its him to blame or warren but unless he fights legit light weights and not over the hill super feathers then i will be avoiding his "progress" from now on.

Step-up or Shut-up; thats the long and short of it.

Fights against St-Clair, Kristjansen and Gomez are no preparation for a jump up to Campbell, Casamayor, Diaz, Pac, Marquez, Guzman, Katsidis etc.

I therefore don't believe it is in his best interest to step-up.

He should instead shut-up, and start mixing it with live LW's from Britain and Europe (Murray, Thaxton, Romanov....even Rees, who would come down from LWW no problem). IF he comes through that lot unscathed then he can start calling out the boys at world level. Until that point is reached his boastful claims to dominance sound ridiculous.
