"I think there is a few people on this forum now clutching at straws about Khan's chin." 100% spot on mate. They thought khan would be out cold after 1 shot to the chin, but the fact he was still standing after taking BOMBS really pi**es alot of people off and is very difficult to take, because they were sure he could not take them.lol....
well he couldn't take them from prescott. he took them from limmond and was on his arse. gomez too. ariza has him and pac on some serious PEDs.
Yeah i agree with you mate that was the best fight i have seen in a while and im sure it will be fight of the year. what a performance. G
I take it you have evidence for this that will stand up in court. Otherwise what you've written is technically known as "Libel". In other news, I'm laughing my arse off at some of the straw-clutching going on about Khan's chin. Why can't people just admit that he can take a shot a whole lot better than they thought?
of course he can take a shot a whole lot better than they thought. of course they admit that, its clear. people need to analyze HOW he is able to take flush punches from the p4p biggest puncher in the game when he couldn't take them from Prescott, got dropped by limmond and gomez.
Nothing to do with hanging on. When he got hit before, his legs used to go, he'd attempt to hold or move away, but his legs would go from under him. It never really happened last night, his legs never caved like they used to.
This is ridiculous!! Anyone who doesn't give the lad props for last night should switch to another sport! He proved us ALL wrong by taking them bombs flush on the chin. I'm man enough to admit I was wrong, a lot of you should do the same.
I'm not buying all this "Khan granite chin" talk. It's bollocks, and most of you will all be saying something different if he ever gets knocked out again. Khan showed his heart again (no surprise to me, I knew this kid has guts), and he showed good skill in keeping his chin down and rolling with punches. He's a brilliant fighter. But he didn't show a "great chin".
Actually you do Khan a disservice by saying he took a load of punches "flush on the chin". He didn't. He took almost all of them either high on the head (which he rolled with), on the side of the cheek, or in the face. He did really well by keeping his chin down and taking those uppercuts in the face. And really, they weren't all "bombs". Maidana looked heavy-armed and slow, let's be real for a minute. These were the punches of a tired and badly punished man, they weren't fresh snappy KO punches. I think people are being ridiculous going from one extreme to the other. Like Khan has a "great chin" all of a sudden, it's absolutely bollocks.
