Khan's power

Could be improving. It should be improving at age 22, he should be maturing physically.

Salita's been down in the first round before so he's probably not the best way of judging it.

 

He is looking like more of a fighter 4 sure.

 

His power looked good. I'd love to see what Ariza has him and Manny doing.

Typical. People can't give credit where it's due. That's just sad. Immediately you question whether or not it's legit.

Speed kills. Salita's only chance was to get to that chin. Other than that, I thought if he can't handle the speed, he's going early. If he can handle the speed, he needs to be broken down.

 

Salita is a poor fighter, a slow starter, has a terrible chin, and appaling balance. He's been dropped by people with KO percentages in single digits.

Combine that with Khans handspeed and it spells disaster.

Khan is certainly improving but I don't think he's a good puncher at all, in fact i'd rate him below average ...

 

based on what? he's knocked out around 70% of opponents. Speed plays a big part in power, and speed's somethin Khan has in abundance. He seems to have filled out really well into light-welter, his body looks strong as hell compaired to earlier in his career, so his power has probably improved aswell.

 

It plays a big part yes, but it isnt the sole factor.

Khan hasnt knocked anyone out to my knowledge, they've been almost exclusively referee stoppages when he lets his 100 pitter patter shots thing go.

Quoting statistics doesnt really make a point either; it doesnt take any other factors into account - the manner of the stoppage, quality of the opponent etc.

 

Based on the fact hes fought blown up featherweights and nobodies.Kotelnik was only months ago and he could have stayed in with Khan until the following Wednesday.I cannot believe that so called boxing fans and experts on this site are waxing lyrical over last nights complete farce of a fight.The build up and hype was stomach churning and how ex pros can sit there and con the public by making out Salita was a credible opponent is mind boggling.Warren wouldnt be drawn on opponents or locations for fights as he has to scour the planet for another credible looking pudding.And then after another joke defence i bet it will be off to the States to fight the heavy punching Malignaggi!****ing pathetic.

 

True but i guess the WBA is partly to blame for the joke mandatory...gives Warren an excuse (not that he normally needs one).

Frank will be hoping a fight with the feather fisted Malignaggi comes off for the grand finale of 2010.:-(
