Kahn was always going to look impressive against that guy on saturday night. Thought he may of hung in there for 3 or 4 rounds though. That 1st right hand off the jab come hook was an absolute peach. I'll hold my hands up,I thought Kahn was kidding himself with talk of world titles and then the Prescott fight seemed to confirm that. And i did laugh when he immediatly said he would come back stronger and better, I thought he was done. Saturdays fight was a Kahn showcase, but it was a show of work in progress. You watch Pacs defeat to Morales and compare it to todays pac. The transformation is clear and I see a similar thing happening with Kahn. Were yet to see what happens when his chin his tested, but think he'll handle it ok. He looks so much stronger now. Kahns got all the right people behind him now, and I think he could turn out to be our best and most successfull fighter yet.
I know the 'debate' you're referring too and no one said he was one of the best on his record,only said Malignaggi was world class to which you replied he most definately wasn't. So you cant have it both ways son. Is Khan fighting him a joke or are you now agreeing with the Hatton fans you were so quick to slaughter????
Can someone explain the whole interim/mandatory thing to me?:huh So, Marcos Maidana won the "interim" title by defeating Victor Ortiz, and instead of fighting Khan for the "proper" (?) title he "defends" (?) the "interim" title against some dude called William Gonzalez at the end of November. How the **** do you defend an "interim" title anyway?!? Khan then goes and "defends" the proper title against Salita, who is somewhow the No.1 "mandatory", which is different than being interim champion (?). How he got to No.1 "mandatory" is a bit of a mystery, since the only recognisable name on his record is Chavez-conqueror Grover Wiley (who also happens to be 90 years old). The question for me is, if Maidana is interim champ does that automatically make him No.1 mandatory contender?
Yes, the Kotelnik fight was about purely winning at all costs even if that means being a bit negative and he boxed beautifully in that fight, Kotelnik hasn't ever been stopped so that was never the plan.
I am not trying to have it both ways,I dont think Malignaggi is that good and I dont think Khan stopping him would add much to his resume. I am not saying Khan fighting him is a joke there are others saying that so maybe you should go tell them off. :hi:
