I want your honest opinion. I know its standard to consider kimbo slice a joke, but I just saw him beat the **** out of Ray Mercer and I think with some training and warm up fights he would make a good heavyweight boxer.

I am NOT saying he would win a title or KO Wlad. Just that he could hang with and around fringe world-class guys, eventually.

I've seen the internet street fighting videos and I'm not impressed, mostly because the guys he knocked out weren't fighters in any sense of the word. I saw one recently where he looked better though, which I'll post below. I saw him get beat but seriously I refuse to acknowledge those fights as proper fights they were bull****. i'm basing this on his MMA fights and the fact he throws decent looking punches and has some degree of power. He is strong, can take a punch, and with some training could probably do quite well in the shitty heavyweight division.

remember, Shannon Briggs won a title just by being big, strong and knockout power. Kimbo is the same size as Briggs but younger.

I don't know about boxing but Kimbo will inevitably rule the MMA HW world! He is the future! (Along with Brock Lesnar)

Honest opinion? He does not have what it takes to compete with anybody remotely close to being fringe world class. Fighting blokes in car parks and gardens is not the same as competing as a pro boxer, and he would not go far. His punches are quite slow with not a lot of pop.
Somebody like Danny Williams would give him a proper hiding.

a guy like brendan vera would whipe the floor with him.

in boxing, he would suck even worse cause he has ZERO cardio.

a solid journeyman would rip his tits off.

the guys beats in streetfights were a bunch pussies who couldnt fight ****.

the only guy who could fight a little, sean gannon kicked his ass.

    and gannon sucks.

He would be nothing in a boxing ring, all he has is some power and size to him. I think he's better served in the MMA world, where he stands a pretty good chance of beating some of there best fighters, I think he's a decent fighter overall.

MMA can have very little credibility if guys like Lesnar and Brock make it big. Thats bad news for the sport. As it teaches you all you need is to be big strong on roids and your half way there..

kimbo is a ****ing huge, powerful fighter who is definitely suited to MMA but I reckon he'd have a punchers chance in Boxing aswell.....he can hit hard, and the HEAVYWEIGHT DIV IS **** POOR FOR ME.

Exactly, Shannon Briggs had zero cardio and nothing but power, Kimbo is kind of like that. He's got raw power and fundamentals, he totally overpowered Ray Mercer which proves he's not a total joke. For someone with NO professional or amatuer boxing experience to do that is pretty good.

I would like to see him move over to Boxing, get a good trainer and see what happens. I dont think he'd get far but he'd an exciting addition to boxing with a big punch.

very ignorant statement:-( Brock has great wresting credentials as much as almost anybody im MMA...he has been training for years now and is an athletic freak. If the undertaker came in and won it would be a different story.

Yes of course its ignorant you clown. A former WWE wrestler as the UFC`s heavyweight champion? But yet if the undertaker won it would be a diffrent story??? What about Sheldon Benjamin? Or Bobby Lashley? There both decorated amateurs just like Brock. My point isnt there resume. Its the fact that a guy from professional wrestling could become a legitimate force in MMA. This has yet to proven. But the bottom line it DOES take away ALOT of legitimacy from the sport if a guy who only has an amateur pedigree and a pro wrestling background could make big waves in a sport that is multifaceted as is MMA. So take your head out of your ass and see my point for what it is instead of being a stupid ****ing neanderthal all the dam time and just trying to pick an argument.
