Was it me or did King Mo seem utterly useless as a colour commentator at the K1 Finals? Mo is known for his motor mouth. But he had this constant blank expression when he stared into the camera and offered zero insight into what was going on. Im not sure why he was chosen as a guest commentator anyway. I suppose it may be because he's popular in Japan. **** knows why.

He came across as pretty well spoken but his lack of knowledge about K1 was obvious.

I think he was more interested in watching the fights from really good seats than actually commentating.

This, and he is almost a pure wrestler, he isn't going to be the most knowledgeable about the technical aspects of kickboxing.

But he didnt even commentate as a "fan". He just seem utterly clueless about everything?!!? All that mouth and he couldn't say not one constructive thing.

I don't think Mo added anything to the event.

He offered no real expertise and just seemed happy to be there.

Agreed I wound up watching all the fights on youtube and when I heard the Goodnight Irene guy say one of his broadcast partners was King Mo Lawal im like WTF ? What point is there to have him announce K-1 fights ?

I only watched the fights, rather than the whole event, but I think he was just a neutral presence, it wasn't like he was particularly annoying or anything.

Mo certainly wasn'y annoying. He just needed to say more. It was rather surprising that someone as loquacious as Lawal would be so quiet when he's supposed to be talking. Perhaps he just couldn't get a word in edgewise with The Voice being right next to him.

As soon as I heard his name I thought this must be a joke. The guy doesn't have a scooby doo. No slant on him, K1 or HDnet or whoever were fools for choosing him. There were so many fighters not in the competition who would have been great sidekicks.
