As the Ayatollah of boxing your eminence, I have to speak the truth to you. Johnson was a talented fighter and had a shot to make some noise earlier in the decade, but he - like quite a few fighters before him, btw (see Tony Tubbs and the rest of the "Lost Generation" of the 80s) - blew it because of his lack of dedication to training. I would be astonished if he was even competitive with Wlad at this point - to be frank.:hey
Kirk was a very talented boxer, he had amazing hand speed for a heavyweight his size, he had a beautiful jab, good lateral movement and ok KO power. Had he dedicated himself more to training and would have dealt better in the Ruiz fight, he would have been champ. Had he fought a smarter fight against Ruiz he would have won a close decision. At this point the question about kirk is not wether he can beat Wlad or any other top HW for that matter, but rather can he get disciplined enough to train and maintain his head where it needs to be.
