Williams should win this one, but lets not forget he had a better resume than Martinez and many think Martinez won. I think the difference between the Quintana loss and the Martinez fight for Williams gotta be Williams was at his best 100% for Martinez. Kirkland looks like a strong 154 and he only got test by a fading Julio, who used to be a powerful puncher. I still don't think Kirkland has been tested yet. He needs to fight a Cintron or an Angulo to see how his chin might do against Williams. It would be a fun fight tho. Williams by UD.
Williams isn't that hard to hit either, which is why this would make for an exciting battle for as long as it lasted.
I haven't seen that much of Kirkland, but let's be real here. Paul doesn't "man up on dem punches". His corner's words. He throws a ton of arm punches.
Could go either way, all depends on how well PW takes Kirklands power, because he is about as easy to hit as they come.
Kirkland is an animal. One of the most vicious fighters in the sport and it seemed like he had a true warrior mentality to boot. I had high hopes for him before the incident last year. I'd tip him over PW.
