If Bika was younger he could be still fighting at MW. He weight only 172 pounds. At 33 it might be a bad idea to dehydrate 12 pounds but some years ago it should have been somewhat easy for him to do.

Bika looked really good. Mad props to Nikola Sjekloca for sticking in there, not giving up and really giving it a go. It takes a man to get a pounding like that from someone of Bika's caliber. Broner meanwhile, good talent, fast powerful, but again, people are hyping him up before he's fought anyone of real high level. He's got some nice scalps in Litzau, Antonio (Anthony) DeMarco, Perez, Escobedo, and Rees...to an extent. These are all nice, solid fighters...DeMarco a bit higher than that, but he isn't a top tier fighter where you go, "Wow, now this will be a tough challenge for the number 1 fighter in that division." A good test for anybody if you want to jump into a top 10, but not at the top of the division.

If Broner were to beat Lucas Matthysse I say throw him in the P4P, definitely. Hell throw him in the top 5, but right now, can't do it. Good talent, fast hands, powerful, but let's see him against tougher, top competition. Let's not forget he lost to Ponce De Leon, and he clearly lost to Fernando Quintero on FNF a few years back. People seem to be forgetting that, or they just don't know about that. Good fighter, has a lot of potential, but let's wait and see.

Broner has progressed a lot since Quintero and credit is due there.
But i am not so sure that he has improved enough since Ponce.

Oh yeah, most definitely. He has improved leaps and bounds since then. It's just silly to see him knocking out all these world class pressure fighters in hypothetical match ups when he hasn't been pressured since that Quintero fight. That's why I'd like to see him face Matthysse. A strong, powerful, pressure fighter. That's a good fight and then we really see where Broner is. If he gets knocked out, well, people were jumping the gun on him. If he completely destroys Matthysse, hey he has definitely earned his hype and deserves a spot in the top P4P rankings. We'll have to see and he'll have to prove it in the ring.

I'd love to see it. I tend to believe Lucas can and would get to Broner, and then as you said, we'd know exactly what he is made of.

I just had the best shower ever. It was all nice and warm until freezing mud water started pouring and it would not stop. I get out of the shower and see construction guys digging up some ground.
I am basically covered in mudd and call my "landlord" to tell him about the situation. The ****er just hangs up :rofl. I call him again and he wont pick up the damn phone. After 9 calls he finally picks up and says he forgot to tell everyone about it.

Bika has shown great consistency through his career. He's been a top tier contender forever it seems. After the bute loss it seemed his time was done but then he gave ward a tough fight and continued to beat the fringe level.

I think he gets a bit underrated at times which is a shame since he's only really lost to calzaghe, ward and bute (that's two of my top 2 smw's and another who was arguably number 1 at the time).

Sjeckloca going the distance with Bika was a little unexpecting, but there was nothing major.

Yeah saw that on fightnews... dissapointed in Bika, or was it Sjeck being better as expected?
