That's why I only make picks weekly, that way I'm checking the most current fight schedule for the month at least a couple times a week, don't miss any updates that way. Hopefully there aren't so many last minute cancellations or postponements like last week.

You mean purposefully missing a pick because you can't decide?

I don't personally have an issue with it but it does cause debates here at the top end of the rankings.

It is a cop out though, I agree. I just don't mind it if people do it.

I do that in the MMA thread cos it takes me too long to decide those fights.

If a person skips a fight and the people around him pick it right, he gets left behind. It really only helps them if everyone takes an L on the fight... also, if someone feels they dont have enough video of a certain fighter to make a pick they feel is competent, or maybe dont have the time that week to study a tough matchup, should they be forced to make a pick that doesn't represent their actual views on the fight? Or how about people that aren't interested in winning the league but just want to pick on the big fights or the fights they are familiar with just to see how they do throughout the year? Or those members that dont care about the annual rankings much at all but just want to do the odd tournament or two?

True cherry pickers will almost never prosper in the league after a few months of fights. They get left behind in picks and by people who picked correctly on the fights they skipped.

I may not like true cherry picking, but obligation picking it not something I feel should be forced on players, especially once I consider the other factors that may go into why someone skips fights.

Fair enough in that case I probably will stop making picks on fighters I can't get footage on like Daniel Roman etc. You made valid points.

Btw @kirk @CST80 @PinoyProdigy any chance of adding Etches vs Ryder it's a 50/50ish fight on the undercard of the Eubank card. It's more competitive than the Eubank and Galahad fight.

I was fully on board with it and pushed for it, but Pinoy has the final say, and for some reason he left it off, and at this point its too late to add it. The fight has to be at least 6 days away before its added.

Ahhh smh I just think fights like Galahad and Eubank are so pointless because they are pretty clear favourites, whereas Etches vs Ryder is more of a toss up. Anyway cheers for answering.

Me, Kirk and Pinoy discuss certain fights and some make the cut, some don't.

But keep suggesting fights and we'll keep considering :)

I don't think there's a single safe pick tomorrow. Vasquez/Collazo is probably the closest, but Collazo has sprung bigger upsets while being written off as shot.

Vasquez should easily beat Collazo, collazo is 36 and hasn't fought in 2 years I believe that should be a very comfortable victory for Vasquez if he's head is in the right place after his recent loss.

Collazo has not fought in 18 months and at 36, I dont think Vasquez should have a problem at all.
