To be honest, I had a mini meltdown this past weekend, its so hard for me to pick the guy I dislike to beat a guy I really like, so after I picked right with Cacace and got robbed, I was so pissed I basically said **** it and went with who I wanted to win hoping for miracles, it was me at my absolute impulsive worst, and I regretted the hell out of it the moment the day was over. So my off the wall picks had little to nothing to do with strategy and everything to do with emotions. I'll give you a hint, when I focus on one fight and fixate and keep saying that the upset is possible, it probably is, but when I just go bat**** ignore me.

As far as Avalos goes, not sure why anyone would think Flores is such an odds on favorite actually, Avalos has lost to huge punchers by KO like Frampton, Magsayo and Valdez, Flores on the other hand just got stopped by Dat Nguyen, while he's a decent boxer, he isn't that hard to outbox, and far from heavy handed, so that sends off alarm bells to me, Avalos thus far has lost to elite or potentially elite fighters, Flores just lost to a journeyman. Stylistically Avalos brings a lot of pressure similar to Dat Be Dat, and he hits harder, on paper this is probably a step up for Flores from Nguyen.

 

Its not all that crazy a pick @nellybc after all, Flores couldn't stop Briones, Tamayo, Beraz, Del Valle or Araiza, who've been stopped several times by lesser fighters, so I don't think he has the pop to dissuade Avalos or drop him.
