Yes, get a COA. Some of the stuff I acquired was do to being in the boxing business and most collectors won't even offer me deals for my memorabilia because I don't have a COA, even though I have pictures, videos, etc of getting the items...!!!
Yep. I asked my local pawn shop if they took memorabilia and they told me only with a COA... I was like ****, I got to find a shop somewhere who does that **** and see how much they charge.
@MVC! I found this on YT the other day, I think you might like it, its brutal but highlights how amazing he truly was. He could say more with his face than most modern actors can with 2 pages of dialogue. This content is protected
I ever tell you guys my old vargas story? About when i sent his website an art piece i did for one of my school projects? You guys probably wont believe it but ill tell it anyway lol. We had to pick a sports hero to do a write up on and a drawing in art class or english class... so did mine on feroz. Sent it in to his webpage where they would sometimes post art in his gallery... got an email back that week saying to check the website, and they had posted my piece on the webpage lol. I remember seeing that while on the school computer and my jaw dropped lol (doesn't seem like a big deal now but when i was younger it meant a lot lol) I replied saying thanks for putting it up... and he replied back. One of the most humble and giving fighters (to his fans) there ever was. Before the Mayorga fight, we had talked quite a bit by then back and forth over the years... and before the mayorga fight he asked me for my phone number... kinda caught me off guard. But I sent it anyways lol. Not 10 minutes later i get a call from feroz himself lmao... blew my mind at the time. We just talked about his camp, his gameplan, ect. Anyways, it will always stick with me how he would go out of his way to connect with his fans. Looking back on it it cracks me up how much it meant to me at the time but he was someone i looked up to at that age. It would be like having your favorite nfl player call your house phone lol. Was just surreal.
I started posting on esb in 2003... I would post during class in 11th grade. Now Im 31... ...... Damn.
Wait until you get to 36, I'm closing in on 40, which is terrifying, yet I still act like I'm a teenager, and look like a 25 year old.
Cool! I'll be 33 in March. My dad and uncles met Vargas when he was an Olympic hopeful back in '96 at a exhibition in Oxnard that was sponsored by the Vagos Motorcycle Club... I should have went.....
No... I never asked for his. Thought that would probably come off creepy lol. Ive only talked to him through email a couple times since hes retired... and its been years since the last time.
