Damn it, I should have stuck with my gut on that one, I buckled, there's NOTHING I HATE MORE than getting it right and then caving. MOTHER****ER!!!! Well, in my defense, Drew and Pinoy were thinking it would be a robbery, so they were kind of wrong as well.
Never understood why Brant was such an overwhelming favourite here, despite the age and inactvity factors. Braehmer was always a small-ish LHW.
Same here. I agonized right until the last moment with this one... Although there were truly a lot of variables to consider - and that along with Brants appalling performance leaves me feeling a lot better than I did after buckling and picking against Ryder and Liebenburg. Fatal flaw of mine to pick safe and go against my gut... But then again it's why I won last year most likely, very similar playing style to this years favorite to win @KiwiMan Double edge sword I guess... But yeah. Nothing worse than picking against your gut and being wrong... I'm never in the dumps after being confident in a pick and getting it horribly wrong. There's just something soul shattering when it comes to ignoring that inner voice when you shouldn't. Oh well! This league ****s with most of us more than we're willing to admit.
I actually thought Braehmer would win a close one, not a robbery. Brant's level of opposition and showing against Rose made me go Braehmer, in addition to the fact that everyone was going Brant haha. Picked SD cause I always almost pick SD/MD in fights I think will be close. But it was wide, so I guess I was slightly wrong with that. Daredevil!
