It doesn't matter: he's the blind type of fan who defends every move. I don't care what threads he makes, honestly. You do realize that wasn't a serious thread, right? I don't defend Haye vs. Mormeck or Rahman at all. I think they're very poor fights but what else is out there? Haye now has to fight whoever the WBA tell him to, so personal opinion doesn't even come into it. I can't go overboard with any criticism for a mandatory fight. You are wrong. |Here's a post from me: But why do you even mention Khan? You think I'm biased because of nationality? Please. The offer was made before the Barrett fight.
So you think Sosnowski deserves twice as much as Tua? Do you accept that a low Klitschko offer was the sole reason a fight with Tua didn't happen? Two questions, two answers. Yes or no.
Haye's bitchassness causes you to lose sleep. Night night little boy David tua maybe 12-15 years ago.
There is nothing to answer. If we were talking prime Tua you just might have baited me but you are extremly desperate.
without reading through all the posts here, let me give my thoughts on this. Chris Byrd, my favorite fighter (full disclosure), talked about this when he was on "On The Ropes" boxing show. It wasn't necessarily the fact that you have to fight Vitali and then Wlad, it's a couple things. 1. The MANDATORY fight Vitali next and then Wlad with no interim fights no tuneups, no nothing. They set the schedule and tell you when to fight. 2. It's a lack of control. I don't think many people want to do something they're forced into doing. Even the seemingly being forced will turn people off. Byrd talked about how due to the contracts, Wlad got two tuneup fights before fighting Byrd, and Byrd couldn't have any. He had to sit on the sidelines and wait after getting victory against Vitali for months and months. Now, is that right? I mean it's how you look at it I suppose. Byrd obviously didn't agree with it, but as he said: They're the champs so they dictate ****. I don't think it's a matter of "I'm not signing because I don't want to have to fight Vitali and rematch Wlad" I think it's a situation of "I'll fight who I want and when I want, and I don't want to be forced into giving up everything to get this fight". Also you don't want to get done like Byrd did. Win against Vitali and then have to sit on the shelf for 6 months until Wlad gets his two tuneups in, (vs. David Bostice and Monte Barrett) and go in rusty. For what it's worth, he was going to get his ass handed to him by Wlad even WITH a tuneup. Just saying. Just my thoughts.
Tua's age is besides the point. It was a fight fans wanted to see, much more so than ****ing Sosnowski. Tua, right now, would knock Sosnowski out.
He fought Vitali and in that contract he had to immediately fight Wlad. No tuneups, no interims, nothing. So once he got the win against Vitali, Wlad fought a few weeks later I think, and then fought Monte Barrett three or four months later. Then Byrd lost his belt to Wlad. Then he fought him again years later after becoming his mandatory, I believe, and lost again.
Yeah the anticipation was on par with Ali - Frazier.:happy Stop losing sleep...David Haye aint worth ithi:
I'm not interested in Haye. Why do you keep deflecting the issue by mentioning his name? The facts: Tua would have been an interesting bout. Fans wanted to see it. Tua deserved more than Sosnowski. Tua would destroy Sosnowski even now.
So desperate You think by taking shots at Sosnowski im supposed to get riled up.Albert is a classic overachiever and nothing more. I know you were hoping that i would come to his defense but unlike you im a realist. Tua hasnt destroyed anyone of note in years....keep on pumping him up(Im a Tua fan BTW but again a realist):thumbsup
I'm mentioning Sosnowski because he's a **** fighter. We can replace him for Chisora, if you want. Fact: Tua deserves more than Chisora, the fans would prefer a Tua fight and Tua would destroy Chisora in a couple of rounds. It's not about Sosnowski. The issue is that Tua deserved a better offer for a world title fight.
You do realize that contract was made by Universum, not Klitschko himself? K2 wasn't even close to being a self-promoter at that time. Yeah Byrd fought Vitali Apr 1, Wlad fought Bostice at the end of the month (pretty sure that was set before the Byrd fight, so it wasn't a revenge tune up). Yeah then he fought Barrett leading up to Byrd. Byrd shouldn't complain about Klitschko keeping him on the shelf 6 months, it's not like he was an active guy in the first place. 2001 and on, he fought every 6-9 months while tied to DK. DK is the one that really screwed Chris. So it's doubtful he would've taken any "tuneups or interims" anyway. If he really had a problem with the Klitschkos, he wouldn't have signed for the Wlad II fight so readily or taken part in their training camps.
