McCline is a good opponent for a comeback fight. Foreman and Holyfield fought worse opponents in their comebacks.

McCline is a very good, and bold choice for someone who's been out for two and a half years. Look at the unknown bums some of these comeback fighters take, and then rethink Vitali's choice to fight McCline. McCline, afterall, was probably winning at least two of the rounds agains Valuev in his last fight. Had his knee not crumbled, he would proably had done very well in that fight, if not won.

If McCline is 6 foot 6, Vitali looks to be every bit of the 6 foot 8 he's reported to be.

Even though undeserving, he just fought for a title (overall 3 times chalenger), so I gues that would qualify him as a renounced world class fighter, I guess. I am not saying that McCline is a great opponent but for a comeback fight, IMO he is not a bad choice, considering what else is available.

Vitaly proposed such a fight after Valuev's loss to Chagaev. Need a link?

He didn't retire but his last 3 fights could be considered a 'comeback' after a long layoff.
