I don't think it's a bad fight on short notice. Most guys would fight some sort of absurd tune-up like against a Hawkins or something. He's fighting a guy with a name at least.
Rahman quit against Toney in his last fight, I think that stays with a fighter. I think he feels Wlad's power and folds this time too if he just dosen't get straight up KTFO. Rahmans a good character in boxing though, a likeable guy. I think he gets brutally ko'd.

They probably picked him because: 1. Rahman has a name and is former unified champion. 2. He has a puncher's chance. If he K.O'ed Lennox, maybe Wlad too. 3. He's American so fight should interest both Euroes and Amero fight fans. 4. Rahman can sell a fight. He is very funny and a great interview. 5. Rahman, like Wlad is a true heavyweight with proven one-punch power.
Yep. And add in the fact that Steward has already faced him twice when he was with Lennox so he knows how to prepare for Rahman.
The KO of Lewis still has legs. I think Rahman is still seen as pretty credible, and who knows, maybe he'll give a good account of himself. One would think Rahman would really prepare and take this fight as seriously as any he's ever had, given his current lackluster status in the division, and what he has to gain if he wins.
I have zero problem with this fight, it's a perfectly sensible option with few other opponents being available at the moment. Toney was another option, maybe Maskaev a little more distant. Outside of that are the unknown, untested or looking to rebuild. After two long fights, and I'd argue pretty dull ones too if that doesn't get me flamed to bits by the Kiltites, Wlad will be hopeful of getting a nice-looking knockout here to get his slice of the limelight back from Vitali.
Probably Wlad knocks him out with a jab. But I still say its a better fight because there is at least a remote chance that Rahmen can come in and land the big right hand. Chambers has no such chance.
I would like to see wlad fight Ruiz,,,yep Ruiz,,,i think he would gave him a beat down that would of got him out of the sport...
Klitschko-Rahman is ok for a replacement-fight. Rahman has better chances to win than most other possible unoccupied candidates.
