Klitschko vs. Povetkin

Povetkin aint all that. A better version of Ibragimov IMO, probably another boring UD/late KO for Klitshcko.

Big fan of both but will have to pick Povetkin to win this, hope this fight is next for Wlad.

 

No way is Povetkin a version of any Ibragimov.

Ibragimov works behind a counter left for the most part. And he looks to exploit the opponent falling in. That is where Ibragimov works. He's like a less crafty version of Chris Byrd with power.

Povetkin is as small but he forces his way inside. And he makes you throw that jab so he can get past it with his own. He won't wait on Klitschko like Ibragimov did. He will press and make Klitschko throw, and throw, and throw somemore until he's dead tired.

he is not a very well known name in the big markets neither in the USA nor in Germany. Money is the name of this game. Povetkin's markebilty is still quite limited at the moment. He strongly needs more tv exposure in both the US and Germany. His name recognition among casual German and American fight fans is quite poor.He poses a serious threat to Wlad,but it wont be a true super fight due to Povetkin's limited name recognition.
Valuev for example is a much "bigger" name than Povetkin,but cant hold a candle to Povetkin terms of talent and skills

 

Wlad but if Povetkin can get past the jab with regularity then he can make the fight very interesting indeed.
