Slipped on the pavement while jogging and fell hard on my kneecap (patella).

    Some swelling.

Able to lift leg with a little pain.

Should I be worried about a fracture?

It wouldn't hurt to get it looked at.

Are you able to walk though without much pain? If it isn't that bothersome, maybe wait till tomorrow and see if it goes away. To be safe, ice it also to lessen any swelling.

Cheers. I'll give it another half-day.

  5. Banging your knee hurts, it's one of those places that bruise right up and cause pain. Apparently lifting your knee is pretty hard when it's fractured but the only way to be sure is an X-Ray.

If you even think there is the slightest chance of a fracture, get it seen too. By walking on it, moving around you could be doing far more damage.
