7 feet. Looks like a troglodyte. "My woman's weight is 7 rocks" "This car costs 7 sheeps and 4 donkeys" "His house is 3 sling shots away in this direction"

Meters, man. Meters. International stuff, scientific **** and all that.

    No.

The top amateurs are rarely over 6'9" tall.

People are rarely over 6'9. Height is on a bell curve.

Yep, Valuev had a good jab and knew how to tuck up well to avoid exposing his chin to danger. Decent tight, compact shots on the inside and an understanding of how to make his size work against smaller opponents. He was slow and cumbersome but you rarely saw him just flailing away like an amateur, or panicking under fire.

Basketball has more variables= more tactics. Has as much individual style, skill, flair and signature as a boxer within a team that produces tactics and strategies for multiple different and dynamic positions.

Boxing, or combat, has been a thing since time immemorial so the most dumbest can partake in it. Paraphrasing here but SRR said boxing is about instincts once your in the ring.

Nah, can't agree with this. Basketball takes unreal athleticism and dudes with unreal handles like Kyrie Irving, or some streetbal legends like God Shamgod, Rafer Alston can't be duplicated by most people, even guys who played competitively their whole lives.

Boxing though is undoubtedly the tougher sport just on the basis of the shape it demands of the participants. Ive been in great physical shape my whole life, played sports year round, been through the military, but nothing and I mean NOTHING is like boxing shape.

What about guys who get paid and are as fat as hell? Butterbean made a nice living and he was obese. Our current heavyweight champ isnt exactly an Adonis in the body department. I think you can be out of shape, carry bf and still box. Theres been instances of heavyweights who were cokeheads as well.

Wilt Chamberlain would have been the perfect example.

Anyone who can go multiple rounds isn't out of shape. Boxing standards yes, but not fitness standards.

No, I disagree. Being tall is a preferred requirement though.

What you're body looks like isn't an accurate indicator of shape. I'm a recovering coke head and have boxed my whole life. Marvin Hagler used to rip rails in training camps.

An athletic Basketball player who can run and jump while dribbling or shooting a ball with good eye-hand coordination and balance should be no more likely to be good boxers than athletic Soccer players who can run and jump while dribbling or shooting a ball with good eye-feet coordination and balance, should make good kick boxers.

Yet we never hear about Soccer players should have the physical attributes to be good kick boxers yet we constantly hear that basketball players would be ideal to become boxers if they had followed that path.
