Hatton beat Phillips and Tzsyu.....and don't gimme no crap about they were shot cos Hopkins, Calzaghe, RJJ can still walk the walk......

Hatton has only ever been beaten by the best of the best in recent times...and I believe he's one of the better body punchers in todays sport

You're comparing Vince Phillips circa 2004 to the one that KO'd Tszyu in 97 or to Hopkins, Jones Jnr or Calzaghe?

What the hell does a 40 year old Vince Philips when he fought Hatton, 34 when he fought Tszyu - Have to do with Calzaghe, who improved over a 6 year period?

That's like saying Roberto Duran was better in 2000 than he was in 1980 because he had 20 years to improve, I'm more than happy to keep providing you rope to hang yourself with...

So he wasn't deteriorated to the point where he was merely prime for the taking, but he was always a bum...hmmm

the injuries and inactivity take away that sharpness a fighter needs at the elite level. Tszyu' inactivity was due to a shoulder injury then an achilles rupture. These injuries at that stage in his career 32 or 33 yrs old then the 2 year layoff of course it had an effect. Then he fights 1 fight vs Mitchell then takes on Hatton. In Hattons backyard with an English ref. The body shot was a clear valid knock down. Then Hatton takes advantage of this and hits Kostya with a low blow. Tszyu before the injuries and layoff and on nuetral gorunds kO' Hatton inside 10.
    Hatton easy.
