**** the judges, fights should end when a fighter is knocked out, stopped, pulled out or quits. I hate the subjectivity in the sport.....

I thought Kovalev deserved the decision but he allowed it to go too close for a foreigner to expect to get a decision over the hyped American on American soil. You really have to batter them to retain the titles.

Ward fought well, but I still don't see why he's so highly regarded. His style and tactics are not admirable but he showed some grit in there.

I had it 114-113 Ward. I doubt I'd score differently if I watched it again but I certainly see a case for a Kovalev victory.
Kovalev is an ATG on a H2H basis. Andre Ward earned HOF tonight.
Andre Ward IMO was taken by the moment at the start and was in his head due to all of the 'this is for legacy, greatness, up there with the best' self-talk. Ward started to find his rhythm and Kovalev did relatively little in the latter 6 rounds.
Kovalev proved the extent of his boxing ability.

I don't think titles should change hands on these types of decisions.

I've seen worse robberies but I still think he was robbed nevertheless. Kovalev was silly for getting into a wrestling match with Ward in the fight, even though he's a strong bloke I feel it affected Kovalev the most out of the pair. I think he had the ability to pick Ward apart and get a stoppage, I hope he does just that in the rematch.

There's no way I read a fight as well as many on here but I know enough about boxing to say, had this fight been judged a win for Krusher or as a draw, instead of a win for Ward, no one could have argued with the outcome. I know a lot of people have invested in this fight and the build up to it on here has been intense, often personal and very subjective. But that's the point: people slate judges for being biased but do so from utterly biased perspectives. So let's mirror image the fight. Had Kovalev's work been Ward's and vice versa, the same people in the main would still have called the same result. I backed Ward to win on points and that's what I saw, but I'm not going to argue the alternative point of view is without value or reason.

There needs to be a rematch and another fight after that. And it won't end 3-0 to Andre if those fights happen.

ward dominated the second part of the fight, does not matter the beginning, what really matters is the end of a fight, ward killed his body, it could go in both ways to be honest, but if you say that kovalev "dominated" then my dear you are so stupid
