How bad is it affecting his career? I think he probably only has about 70 percent range of motion..Might as well retire after shoulder injurys, a fighter isnt the same

:-( he needs to change his name to "No Hook" because the left Hook is gone, he really is finished.

He looked OK in the early rds of his first fight before the injury. Ever since he tore up his shoulder he hasn't been the same, Slappy hurt him but the injury is what really did him in IMO.

No, But before the injury he was a dangerous guy with power in BOTH hands, now all he does is try to load up with right hands because his left hook is gone and he had a very good one too, not great but still good.

i watched the taylor fight for the first time yesterday.

lacy tried to be a left jab and right cross man.

obviously he has had to adapt his style and is now basically a one handed fighter and taylor read the long right hand and stepped back , not having to worry about any left hooks.

lacy threw a few when they were tied up , but not one in anger .

Thats because he was fighting D and C level fighters. Lacy looks great against a static target he can bully. Other than that as soon as his opponent punches back he has no answer. He has never possed concussive power. He doesnt have a jab. He never punches in combinations. He loads up on every shot. He has no inside fighting skills and zero head movement. All in all he`s a fabulously flawed fighter who was great to watch in his rise through the ranks. But only a maniac would have thought he had any skills to trouble the best guys at his weight.

What is Mendoza? What is Manfredo? Lacy is/was flawed but he was a better fighter before he screwed up his shoulder, now he can barely beat C-Class fighters.

Mendoza is a KNOWN banger and a dangerous opponent. I remember when he upset Tokunbo Olajide back down at 54. The guy carried his power up through the weights and certainly is a dangerous opponent for any fighter at 168. The problem was Lacy just cant put them together. When he fought Manfredo he hurt him early and then went back to his usual "big shot" fall in and do nothing.

Lacy had far more confidence in his early career and im not sure how much the rebuilt shoulder has affected him but his deficiencies were plain as day long before he was put in the ring with Joe. Look at how he struggled with Vanderpool Sheika and Richard Grant. The jury was out then. People including his promoters chose to ignore it.

Lacy's shoulder is messed. He'll never win another big fight. Though I should've learned along time ago to never say never.

I'm not saying he wasn't flawed, he was and still is, all I'm saying is his money punch the left hook is gone he doesn't throw it with bad intentions anymore like he is gunshy with his left. Anyway he is done, ****ed shoulder and a shitty trainer, I don't see him going to the top.

I believe the injury has greatly impacted him, but at the same time he was never going to be an all-timer.

He`s trainers are shockingly awful. I havent got a clue what they work on with him but its not boxing thats for dam sure. As for his left hook i dont recall Lacy KO`ing anyone with it. Much like Jhonny Nelson he has a poor nickname.
