He would probably still be able to take it...Lamotta late stoppage.

Lamotta arguably the greatest chin of all time.

Either way Lamotta a guy who could not only punch but take incredible punishment against a guy who can punch like hell but can't take it... think I'll go with Lamotta. Besides, his far tougher and superior.

In a punch vs. chin matchup, chin usually wins.

Lamotta takes a decision after copping some frightful punches.

I say jackson actually knocks Lamotta down at some point. That's how hard he hit.

But he doesn't win, Lamotta comes back and stops Jackson, around the 9th.

Its hard to say how good a boxer Jackson was, he has 2 stoppage losses to all time great head 2 head types like Gman and McCallum BUT he really wasnt prime for either of those and the McCallum loss may have been premature (from memory, I forget now)

On film he really is a remarkable fighter though, I think his power underrates his boxing skill too

I'd say Jackson was at his Prime against The Body Snatcher, if not as well-rounded. Slightly premature but mcCallum was battering him from what I remember. AND had taken a big whack off Jackson so I guess a reversal was pretty much out of the question.

Correct about G-Man. And even then he hit hard enough to push G-Man on the road to brain damage.

He was pretty damn close to his prime for the McCallum bout..he was 26 and would go on to become a champ within a year after that fight.

Ive seen the argument that the McCallum stoppage was premature..and it has its merits..but Julian had like another minute to survive a pretty ferocious onslaught from Mike and wasnt throwing much back leading up the stoppage.

Jacksons best punch actually wouldn't fell lamotta. hard to believe but true

Lamotta takes him apart like the bodysnatcher did.
