This is gonna be difficult, and although I'm sure everyone will have the same #1, the rest of the list is hard to make.

Who are the 5 greatest Latino/Hispanic fighters of all time?

I think the top 3 is easy, at least for me: Duran, Jofre, and Monzon.

4 & 5 is hard as Hellllllll to decide on, so I'll let everybody else have a go. There's an argument to be made for Chavez, Pascual Perez, Napoles, Gavilan, Sanchez, Arguello, Ortiz, Olivares, Rodriguez, Gomez, Zarate, Panama Al, Salidvar, ect all occupying the 4 and 5 spots.

    What say you?

I like this thread, I'm gonna give it a :bump, but I have to clarify. Do you mean in terms of ability or just greatness?

    Duran
    Jofre

    Napoles
    Monzon

Carlos Ortiz, Chavez, Rodriguez, Gavilan, Arguello I think could all take 5th. I’d put for Ortiz.

Duran, Jofre & Monzon as you say, then my picks are Rodriguez and Arguello.

Unfortunately that is what I thought, but I thought he deserved a mention.

    1. Duran
    2. Monzon
    3. Ortiz
    4. Jofre
    5. Gavilan

Could change depending on the day, though. 3/4 could flip, and I see strong arguments for Saldivar, Napoles, Arguello, Olivares, Rodriguez, and Chavez for the final spot.

    Clear no. 1: Duran

    2. Jofre (edges Monzon due to featherweight title).
    3. Monzon

Yep, really struggling on 4 and 5. I actually can't choose.
    4. Ortiz or Napoles maybe? Both top 5 in one of the original 8 weight divisions. Ortiz maybe has the edge because of that junior welter title... but I'd pick Napoles to beat him H2H at 140.
    5. Olivares, Arguello or Chavez? These three are pretty damn even in my view. Leaning towards dropping Chavez just because Olivares and Arguello's overall competition was tougher. Toss a coin between Olivares and Arguello...[tosses coin] ... Arguello.

Feels wrong not being able to include either Wilfredo Gomez or Wilfred Benitez.

    So, cheating a little bit:
    1 Duran
    2 Jofre
    3 Monzon
    4 (equal): Ortiz/Napoles
    5 Arguello

Just missed out: Olivares, Chavez, Gomez and Gavilan.

And Canto doesn't even get a mention. Yep, this is basically impossible.
