Lejeragga, the Spaniard that defeated Gavin and Skeete, suffered a TKO loss in the 9th round to former potential Josh Kelly opponent David Avanesyan. Was that cold a lucky escape for Kelly? Lejarraga has looked very impressive every time I've seen him and was a heavy favourite at 1/8.
Simarlarily; Fowler was a 1/8 favourite so there was money to be made this weekend for a gambling man. I backed Fitzgerald as hearns prospects seem to be falling like flies to ****. But not lejarraga as I never thought he was in danger of losing.

Now you know why Josh Kelly and booth swerved last minute DA. They would go got their ass served to them.

There is always reasons why strange pull outs happen.

The full fights on youtube I watched it last night, a decent scrap. Easy to see why Booth didnt want any part of him for Kelly

I was never that impressed by Lejaragga. He didn’t look spectacular in ironing out Skeete or Gavin. Both had seen far better days and put up a poor effort given the openings that Lejaragga presents.

That pull out by Kelly was very dodgy. I think they got cold feet at the last minute coupled with Kelly’s weight issues

I watched this fight and I must admit that I wasn't impressed by Lejaragga at all. He looked like a very basic slugger who was just waiting for a good boxer to show him up.

I have been impressed with what I had seen of Lejeragga and expected him to win this one. Kelly Vs DA would be a natural now

Not a huge upset really. Avanesyan is decent, plenty well rounded. Though I did expect El Rat Tail to eventually break him down.

Was clear to me that Kelly's team were obviously concerned going into that fight, the guy he's fighting next pretty much confirms a duck to my eyes.

Was KL weight drained? He is always far bigger than every opponent and might need to move up? Avaneysian s slippery awkward style and speed were kryptonite to KL. He can still beat straight forward opponents and us not finished by any means. In fact with the correct adjustments it's not impossible for him to win a rematch against Avaneysian ......

Booth saw something, no doubt about that at the time and no doubt about it now.

It would have been a tough fight for Kelly, maybe he wasn't 100% for and they didn't want to risk it.

It was a good action fight. Ava showed a good chin and tight defence, whilst picking accurate shots. Caught Kerman in between breathers and manage s to pile in for a stoppage. Rematch will be fun.

Just caught up with this fight. Really enjoyed it. Lejaragga was always in the fight, but just outclassed by Avenesyan in most departments really, and when he had him hurt he capitalised and produced a devastating finish. Those were some hefty shots Lejarraga was taking at the end. Perfect stoppage from the ref as well I will add. A conclusive ending and stopped exactly when it should've. Great respect shown by both boxers and their teams at the end as well. Good to see. This fight showed all the right sides of boxing.

Also, how wee was that ring??

Here's the whole fight for anybody who hasn't saw it. Definitely worth watching.
