Ummm...there I was watching ESPN2 wondering what's taking the main event so long, thinking this fight was live, and then I go to fightnews.com for an unexpected big ****ing spoiler. Usually they hide the results for tape-delayed fights, I'm ****ing pissed right now.

Well at least he was nice enough to change it when he realized that many of us hadn't seen it yet.

I am disgusted with this result. Its not the end of the world but I seriously hope Lemieux would walk through this sort of competition.

Yea I saw FNF wasn't on until late, then I checked espn3.com and the main event was about to start, so I just watched it on there.

I know a lot of us were excited about Lemiuex's potential, but most of us realized he was not thoroughly vetted.

In retrospect the fight looked exactly like what it was. A seasoned legit contender with a good record and a good KO ratio fighting a prospect. When Rubio was still there after the 3rd round, David started coming unstuck. He did not know what to do against a hardened contender who displayed a good game plan and plenty of patience.

DL is only 22 years old. If they match him up right, he should be fine, and may yet prove to be world class. DL needs to fight some guys like Khurtzide: limited but tough. I'm thinking of guys DL would have to outbox, because you know he won't KO them. He needs to get some rounds under his belt.

I've always thought that despite having the power, Lemiuex seems a bit like a blown up light middle.

It's never nice when a favourite fighter of yours loses for the first time, we've all been there countless times.

If it makes you feel any better, just remember what happened to Amir Khan. He went from over-hyped, protected and embarrassed young lad, to established, genuine world champion.

Yeah, but Amir Kahn was always a great natural talent who needed a good trainer.

I like Lemieux, but he's not a physical talent like Khan. Big puncher, but his speed and skills were just slightly above average. Everytime I watch him, it always leaves something to be desired. His KO of Camacho Jr. got him more credit than he should have gotten.
