If it's in Canada Saunders could be in trouble his always in close fights because of his terrible gas tank he will not get a win in a close fight in Canada like he has done many times in the UK but am picking lemieux anyway Saunders has kept that title hostage went fat and just talked to much and Imo Saunders lost the akovov fight and the Monroe fight doesn't prove nothing Monroe didn't make him work hard it was a sparring session a camp with the ingles doesn't make your flaws disappear unless his been training with kid Galahad imo

Great fight, credit to saunders for agreeing to take it. The Canadians must have offered a really big purse.

Really looking forward to this, glad they got it sorted. He’s a special talent, Billy Joe Saunders. He’s obviously quite unpopular amongst fight fans but his skill, particularly his range, defence and counter shots is world class. If you miss he makes you pay.

Great fight. Lemmy can struggle with the weight a little, so it'll be interesting to see what kind of shape he's in. If he's in good shape then Saunders needs to do whatever he can to still be able to move around come the later rounds because Lemieux can sleep anyone in that division.

Will FW send Yarde/Dubois over as Well? Or will they have separate cards over here.

Hopefully Lemieux wins. The belt has been held hostage for too long.

Hmm, I like BJS but I sense an injury coming here. I didn't expect Hughie to travel to NZ, and I'm not sure how much I expect BJS to go to Canada.

Depends how much money he's getting I guess..

I think BJS has to look impressive here as well. If he goes there and wins but the fight is a stinker it will do nothing to help his cause in trying to get a mega fight.

Great fight -- fair play to BJS for taking this one away from home. Can silence a lot of doubters IF he gets the job done. Tough fight but I think his skills will see him through and he hasnt shown chin weakness so far and he seemed in much better shape last time out under Ingle

Close points win for BJS and in a good fight

agree, I think his biggest asset is composure during the fight. Never gets flustered, if the boy had natural stamina and or power he'd be on golovkins level. As someone said if he can keep the feet moving for the 12 then he should have this. Lemieux needs just one shot to end it.

Pretty sure that didn't come cheap for Golden Boy, so it looks like BJS got to cash his belt out afterall.

When this fight was "ordered" I immidiately expected that GBP would do everything in their power to get it in the US or Canada, to cut of Billy Joe's main path to victory which is the close decision.

You’re not the first person to say it, why is there this presumption that he’s after cashing out? If he beats Lemieux, a big puncher but an inferior boxer, then his price goes up for a fight with Canelo/GGG.
