Lemieux has excellent fundamentals and a possible bright future, however IMO he turned pro too soon, and spent 2,5 years fighting absolute nobodies when he could've competed the world elite at the amateurs and still turn pro around this summer. He's most likely going to blow McCrary out as B and C level fighters did, but if he can't blow him out, the step-up in competition could turn out to be tough. 2 years in the international senior tournaments give youngsters a huge amout of experience. I don't know what experience the 6-32-4 guys could gave him, but I guess we're about to find out.

When's the last time McCrary was 161?

Isn't that lower than his usual?

It's hard to know just how much McCrary has left in the tank.

I guess we'll find out Saturday.

But it is by far the biggest test of Lemieux career. Perfect opponent at this point in his career IMO.

Well, here's an answer: Lemieux just destroyed McCrary in one round (FN).

Damn! 2 straight rights, 2 knock downs and it was over. Impressive KO. Decarie was also impressive. And 2 hot colombian prospects to watch for (Eleider Alvarez and Oscar Rivas). Here are the highlights of those fights: http://video.webpresse.ca/

I haven't seen him since the Avila fight, he's fast and he's strong but he flies in with wild punches a lot. I'm glad they're going to take some time with him because he could use some more head movement and work on not being wide open while throwing. He does seem to be improving and he's only 20 so time is on his side and I hope he becomes a top guy. Being Fench Canadian myself I feel like it's a too-good-to-be-true situation so I am skeptical, but I hope the best.

Lemieux power is really impressive. He still has to learn a lot of things but with that power and that quickness, he has an excellent base to build from. I don't know if he can stay at 160 for a long time though and 168 could be more difficult for him as he's 5'10.
