I’m talking about Lennox Lewis having his belt almost up to his armpits. Made it harder for his opponents to land a good bodyshot. Technically made him immune to bodyshots and Lewis only needed to protect his chin.

Do consider this a little bit unfair or was Lennox Lewis years ahead of his time playing 4D chess?

    Unfair and illegal

Forget Holyfield, a real heavyweight boxer like John L Sullivan would give Bummox a schooling

Lol, I'll never forget Óscar de la Hoya wearing his belt so high that you would think it was a scarf when he fought "el feroz" vargas. In order to avoid fernando's body punches.

I hate it! Ofc it's unfair, and the referee should not allow that BS

    That ain't nothing...
Have a look at Haye Vs Chisora.

Ultimately, it's the corners that's should pick up on it and protest.

Totally illegal, Tyson Fury did not do this against Wlad at all.

shorts and groin guard are protecting his soft supple body.

True alpha males have natural built in protection called love handle blubber. Fury pioneered it after speaking to butterbean. invulnerable to bodyshots and illegal kidney shots.

Yeah I never like that. Ref should have really done something about that. You think boxers and their promoters would ensure there are stipulations in the contracts to prevent that.

I never liked how he did that. Always thought it should be illegal. Michael Grant would do the same. Think Oscar had his up high vs Sturm or Hops as well.

Tyson Fury does this in every fight. It's a damn Shane that it is not stopped. Clearly an unfair advantage.

It's amazing to me how some guys wear protectors and you can barely see them under their trunks and others look like they are wearing an innertube under their armpits.

Ref should have adjusted his trunks.

Fury is in the same league as Canelo. Just another PED cheat.

It's not the best look but Lennox wasn't the only one to do it.
You tend to see it with Heavies more Fury comes to mind of active fighters.

Yep, it’s unfair. He should have been called on it.
