Anyone watch him last night? he look good?

Only seen his fight on the Ghana card and his fight against Garber - could be another brit champ maybe - 19 years old, 6ft 6, seems fast

nice to see a heavyweight prospect from the north for once

    Thoughts?

It was a typical Leo Atang performance, against a overmatched tub of lard. Although it was a little bit troubling that he walked into several counter rights that landed flush. Thankfully he took them well, but he needs to work on that. Also I'm not sure if he has one punch power or not, he was teeing off on this guy and didn't make that much of a dent.

He doesn't punch hard, he doesn't move well. I doubt he'll ever be a top contender.

He doesn't even look good against soft opponents, unlike Itauma and Teremoana.

When he fights a live opponent he will likely lose.

I'm not that impressed by him so far. Eddie Hearn and others are overrating him.

Might be because he's coming after Moses Itauma, he doesn't look nowhere near as impressive as Itauma.

Looked decent. Some sharp punching, albeit against a walking pastry.

They should develop him slowly and properly, not missing out steps like they have with Itauma to rush him to the top. Do the gauntlet of gatekeepers, fringe guys, awkward styles, British and European titles etc. Don't know if he'll be champ, too early to tell, but I do like what I'm seeing.

Is he really 6 ft 6 tho? He looks a lot smaller than that to me unless all of his opponents so far have been giants, which I doubt.

Also Atang is Dave Allen’s cousin. Being related to the GOAT some of the greatness must rub off.

He is athletic and quick which are positives, he moves well but he isnt as physically mature as Itauma so I dont expect him to be moved as quick as him. I think he can be very good, but he needs to be moved slow. More interested in him rivaling Olaniyan than I am Itauma. That will be interesting.

I see an Atang vs Itauma in 2028. By that point Itauma will presumably hold at least one of the four alphabet-soup belts (unless Zuffa manages to upend the whole apple cart). I like this fight -- not the least of which reasons the sheer alliteration. :)

Nah, Atang will be moved very slow. They will build him up vs Adam Olaniyan I reckon.
