Close fight. It was no robbery. I would have agreed with a draw or a close win either way. I scorecard of 120-108 or even 117-111 would have to be seriously questioned.
I had Leonard winning by 2 rounds on scores, but also in my mind without scoring. Fact is Hagler did not fight his fight and he was not the usual Hagler. He started off slow and right handed, so just on that I figure he sold himself short.

I had SRL up by 2 but it was as much because of what Hagler didn't/couldn't do as what Ray did. Both my brother and I were stunned as Marvin's punches would slowly sail over a wide open Ray throughout the fight, even in the late stages several times when Ray's hands were low and he was very tired. We had never seen a fighter turn old like this during a fight, not at this level. Those who watched Barney Ross lose to Armstrong said much the same things. Even a year earlier SRL could not have beaten Hagler.
Same as I. First I scored it 115-114 Leonard but the last time I scored it I had it a draw. I'm scoring Hearns-Leonard 2 & Duran-Leonard 1 before this year is over. I wonder why no one ever asks for Hearns-Leonard 2 scorecards? I might break this silence if I ever make a thread about it lol. Well a great fight between two HOF'ers/ATG's that had a HUGE build-up will always be debated over.
