Watched it last night for the first time since the fight. How anyone even has it close or for Hagler is beyond me. I got it 117 112. Hagler looked slow cumbersome and Leonard mugged him off in numerous occasions. How have you people got this fight
I've got SRL by 2 points minimum everytime. I too cannot fathom how anyone can score it for Hagler, tho quite a few do.
I never understood how or why people scored it for Hagler. His own fault giving away the first four rounds. It's a fight I think he could have won but just went about it the wrong way. Leonard was rightfully given the win.
I gave rds 1-4, 6 and 11 to Leonard without much doubt. Hagler won rds 7-8 big and 9 too I'd say despite a good comeback from Leonard. 5, 10 and 12 were close with Hagler having the edge in them overall. So 7-5 or 6-5-1 for me. Being generous to Hagler I could see it as a draw. A win for Hagler becomes more difficult. In order to do that, I'd have to give him all the close rounds and make one of the rounds I felt Leonard won even.
Interesting posts. I guess it depends on how you like your fighters, if you like walk forward aggression I can see people giving Hagler rounds, for pure artistry of landing and not getting hit its not even close.

Every time I've score it I have it for Hagler by a point or two. Leonard did way too much holding and stalling to win all those rounds people give him. Hagler was unimpressive but he won a close fight with workmanlike method.
