LeRoy Green became a sparring partner for hire, as his professional career was going nowhere as a 'trial-horse'.
He was one of those 'mob-connected' fighters, whose contract was always sold from one
    'small-time connected guy' to another.
First in Kansas City, then to New York, then back to Kansas City, then to Minnesota, then back to Kansas City,
then back to New York, then to Denver, then back to Chicago.
In May 1964, his 10-year contract expired.
He then hooked up with Archie Pirolli, Sonny Liston's camp manager.

He did set some kind of record, by going 120+ Rounds with Sonny Liston in
    1964, in Denver.

    And he was never floored.

    LeRoy Green

Was something of a pretty good amateur.
Won the 1953 Greater Kansas City Golden Gloves at 160 lbs.
Also several 1953 amateur tournaments, including the January 1954 Kansas State Open.
Track records show him with an amateur record of 66-15

Turned pro at age 22, and was expected to go far.
Won his first 5-bouts, before being upset in Kansas City, in December 1954.
His contract was then sold to a New York connected-manager,
    where he fought in 1955.

Was also a Sonny Liston sparring partner for his first fight with Floyd Patterson
    in Chicago, Septermber 1962.
Green sparred with Liston at the race track training camp in September, 1962.
Green was provided as a courtesy sparring partner by the connected Chicago-crew.

LeRoy fought on the 9/25 Patterson vs. Liston undercard,,,,,,,,vs. Allen Thomas
