Good power. Tall. Long arms . Decent boxing skillset. Canelo is obviously canelo. Has /will he underestimate Fielding ?
Hopefully he doesn’t get stage fright. On his day he’s up there, probably just under your top, top fighters of the division but he’s definitely that level just below. Other times though the shell shocked Rocky turns up and gets blasted out by Smith or lumbers against mediocre opponents. I hope we get the best Rocky next week.
Don't think there's much to underestimate for Canelo. Pretty sure he can take Fielding's punches and Rocky can't take his. KO first half of the fight.
OK let's turn it on its head for a minute and say callum Smith v canelo???? I'm sure we'd be giving smith a good chance My point is that i feel rocky got caught cold /underestimated Smith and that he is much improved and has everything to gain from this
There is no doubt Fielding has the power to stop Canelo. He is very heavy handed, big super-middle weight who towers over Canelo. Fielding does need to work on the outside to get full leverage on his shots, that’s when he’s knocked opponents out. He really struggles to be effective on the inside which is why I reckon Canelo believes he will win.
If Rocky can relax and not get stage fright then he could really give Canelo something to think about. Rocky has power but Canelo has never been dropped to my knowledge and I can only see a money shot knocking him out. He can be very disciplined with his guard and I cannot see him giving him Fielding the chance. I'd like to see him go all out attack and try and do a demolition job similar to the one he took off Smith. Canelo will outbox him if he is too cautious.
The fact that Canelo or rather Canelos people have took this fight, makes me think they see this as an easy win for the orange one, and and an easy way for him to pick up a strap st super middle. I expect Canelo to stop Rocky with a body shot same way he did Smith. Of course with Rockys size and power advantage can't discount him completely, but I'm going for tango man by crippling bodyshot KO mid rounds. Will be rooting for Rocky though.
Canelo is knocking Fielding out with ease. You can list his attributes but Canelo is on a whole different planet to Fielding.
I think this is one of them fights where you know the superstar is up against a big, strong heavy handed bloke. In our heads we all see ways in which Fielding can beat the smaller man. Class and reality will be evident from the start though no doubt. 4th round ko for Canelo.
Obviously there's no comparison here ability wise. Canelo is light years ahead. But is there any chance that Golden boy have got this cherry pick wrong due to the size difference? Canelo is a short middleweight, Rocky a tall super middleweight. The size difference is incredible.
Had a much needed day off today jurg as the wife is in Vegas and i realised that due to my work i hadn't spent a lot of time with my youngest daughter in quite some time. After doing some civilian normal dad stuff i waited for her to fall asleep on the sofa and like a naughty boy with a porn video i preceeded to watch another replay. Thing is i only got 5 rounds in and i started thinking of you which kinda spoiled the moment for me . Canelo has picked Rocky for a reason, he obviously sees something that won't give him much trouble, and is no way going to risk his current momentum. Canelo to win by body shot in the first half of the fight.
