Yeah a few of them have been pretty good..... the trouble is when you watch the ones that Cleverly fought take a dive after the first decent punch you'll think twice about buying a ticket next time there's a Commonwealth title fight in your area - if you're a casual that is.

On the Germans though, aren't they all from German speaking countries?

Plus I suppose there could be a lack of good promoters and TV over there, if they get spotted as amateurs and brought through from the very start people will become familiar with them.

I'm trying to think of the major ex-pat populations within Britain..... Ireland obviously, Poland, Australia..... Americans too.

None of the fighters i mentioned are from german speaking countires.

i think its more the problem TV don't want to push them. Kresnik Qato, Choi, Sosnowski all drew decent crowds but TV were never fussed.

Brits are only interested in one of their own we would never take to them as a star. Its just not the same. The only way would be if they nailed their colours to our mast. Maybe Mike Perez if he embraced being "Irish" he would get a certain level of support but not in the same way as a true Irish heavyweight would.

Maloney tried it he had Ruiz, Martinez, Johnson, Valuev, Clottey have all fought over here nobody could care less.
