liddel franklin

who do i put my money on and any other tips for the card are welcome

 

need advice guys

 

In boxing terms this is a boxer vs puncher match up with Liddell playing the part of the puncher. Franklin has been more active and Liddell has looked horrible in his last five fights before his retirement. In my opinion the smart money is on Franklin to kick-box and move his way to a UD.

I don't know. I think Franklin may end up making the mistake of following Liddell around like so many others. If Franklin lets Liddell play the roll of counter puncher, he may end up exiting the octagon in a similar fashion to Ortiz after his fight with Liddell.

 

That is a very real possibility. He may still have a chance against the not so speedy guys.

I'd go for Franklin UD for the main event. Liddell has very little left, while Franklin is a smart fighter who will fight to his strengths and try to out-strike Liddell on the outside.

As for the rest of the card smart money would be on Paulo Thiago over Kampmann I think. Kampmann's got nothing or him imo. Also yeah, I'd go with Barry over Cro Cop due to the latter having very little left in the tank and looking poor recently.

 

Liddell has "a puncher's chance" for sure. But most pundits are giving Franklin the edge.

Franklin is the way to go, unless Liddell has undergone some kind of miraculous rejuvenation. Franklin will be too fast for Liddell in this point of their respective careers.
