liddell vs cro cop.

    if a prime cro cop whose weight was down to 205lbs, fought a prime liddell, who do you think would of won?

    devastating punching vs devastating kicks.

    would it of been one-sided?

    cro-cop!

    his punches were straighter he is faster and probably just as hard a puncher (especially since he would be moving down in weight) his kicks would be the end of chuck if the LHK landed, also body kicks my play a huge role and Mirko has the hardest body kicks I have ever seen. cro-cop also had better defense.

    chuck liddell has a better chin he also is very tough mentally.

    this would be a fight that would most certainly take place on the feet both fighters have great takedown defense and they both want to remain standing anyway, chuck has shot in for a takedown against a few opponents (overeem wandy pele) but in this case I doubt he would get it.

    Mirko Cro-Cop Filipovic by 2nd or 3rd round ko!

    I'd say Crocop by KO in the 1st whenever it happened but the Chuck with the best shot would be around 01-03 IMHO rather than his run at the top of the UFC from 05-07. Earlier in his career Chjucks defence was a bit better IMHO where as during his title run he'd adapted his game more to grapplers, hands lower to stuff takdowns since he had little to fear from Randy/Tito/Bablu's striking and more looping power shots to put them away quickly.

    The most interesting "what if" with Chuck for me is how a fight with Hendo would have gone.

    i'd like to see this fight even now. catch weight of 210 or something maybe.

    its hard to call.

    yeah, two old guys each past their best, could be interesting. however cro cop would have to get his 'head' right, he just doesn't seem to be into fighting nowadays.

    Crocop was better in everything except the punching power. When i watch liddell back when he was the champion i always thought he was too slow and too wide open when he strikes.

    Most of his opponents when he was dominating were wrestlers and bjj fighters with really bad striking. couture-ortiz-babalu-horn are not known to be strikers.

    Once he face a striker rampage-shogun etc he got exposed. He did fight good vs wanderlei but that silva is no where near he was back in his days with pride.

    I have Cro-cop by T/KO in the 1st or 2nd.

    Interesting fight that would be a great farewell for the both of them.

    Liddell of 2005 v Cro Cop 2005 catch weight wld be a great fight.

    Liddell had great whiskers back then..... obviously age has taken it's toll more recently.

    Cro Cop was probably the better skilled fighter overall

    i don't mind guys fighting to their level. chucks gone too. his punch resistance to a good shot is zero.

    I'd say he was better at that aswell.

    Mirko's left straight > Chuck's overland right

    Wanderlei took a ton of Chucks shots and stayed standing where as Mirko put him down with one punch.

    then why?

    it would be an awful display in the octogon and further add fuel that UFC is going nowhere under dana white

    if this fight was staged in my driveway i wouldnt hesitate to reverse over them on my way to the mall
