Fruitless match really. Id prefer if Liddell retired. As for Franklin im not sure where he's career is headed now. Since loosing his title in devastating fashion you could hardly call him a contender anymore.

Agreed at this point its hard to tell where Franklin's career is headed although one win for either will atleast gain some interest in their next bout which will likely be a tough guy considering both fighters track records. I think it should be a great fight though probably wont hit the ground exept for KDs. I think Franklin outpoints him in a more exicting verison of the Jardine fight Franklin has great or really good leg kicks and body kicks which I think will be the deciding factor.

I think Liddell is past it and Franklin will never rule 185 or 205. However if they both want to fight on then I think it's a decent fight.

I pick franklin but he has a weak chin and we all know liddell is a knockout puncher. With that said if this fight goes to the judges scorecard then i think franklin wins it if not then liddell would have won by KO.

I'm going to this so I'll be optimistic about it. I heard both of them say the want to go for another title run. They are both former champions and it should be a good fight in a "nothing to lose, a lot to gain" sort of way. Somebody is getting knocked out.

I see Chuck getting ko'd again, if he doesn't get to franklin first that is

Chuck isn't as explosive & dangerous as he was during his winning streak but I think he has enough to beat Franklin. That being said I don't know who to go with as the winner in a prediction but I hope both guys fight their hearts out. Then again, I shouldn't have to worry about Chuck not fighting his heart out lol.

I honestly expect it to go all 15 minutes like the Wanderlei-Franklin-Liddell fights.

Chuck's not the same man he used to be. His whole game was based on being sharp and he ain't got that now so he just looks like a sloppy boxer. At this age he has to get back to his kicks and wrestling. Great to see him take Wlad down 3 times, twice in the last round. The wrestling can help to take away from his punch resistance and general lack of sharpness. Chuck was really talented but now he is old.

Franklin isn't seemingly great at anything. He's obviously good but not special in any one area. He is a good all rounder with decent striking and grappling skills. For him it is about execution. I'm sure he'll try to kick the legs, avoid the right hand etc It's simply how well can he do that. If Chuck fights simple and his right hand is a dud then Franklin can get the win.

I see Franklin slowing Liddell with his kick to the body and win a lackluster decision

I don't see Chuck taking this he has lost the zip in his punches and was slow and plodding against Rua, not to mention his chin isn't dependable anymore. I don't even think he has 1 punch KO power anymore I see Franklin getting a UD if he doesn't catch Chuck at some point during the fight.

Yep without the reflexes Liddell has become half the fighter he once was. Hopefully he can land that money shot because he could be worn down and put away.

Its just too hard to tell how far gone Chuck is.

From what I have seen in his last several fights, he just doesn't have it anymore. Something approaching a prime Chuck would take it.

It would be great to see Chuck use his wrestling. Smart grappling can help overcome father time just like Couture has.
